This is my comment for the article the thing...
i could not click the comment button... so i post here kay?
I think that
what Ms Lee Wei Ling said is true:)
Now that it is the "worst recession" since after the independence of Singapore,
we should learn to save and be more frugal.
Even though some may be rich and well off,
we should not splurge unnecessarily on luxury items.
What if you're company suddenly goes bust and you need to fix it?
What if you need a huge sum of money to save a life?
Would you regret having bought the latest branded bag?
Getting the latest status symbol is not really needed right?
Having enough to eat to your fill, a nice house, clothes and enough spare cash is good enough.
Ms Lee has taught us how to be frugal, how to save, etc.
We have to brace ourselves for the recession.
More people are losing their jobs.
We should save now, and downgrade on unnecessary items, lest regret later and
maybe suffer in the near future.
Let us learn and reflect from this article, and hopefully we can be like her.
